Peanut Butter and Jelly (Donut) Sandwiches

Final calendar week, I posted this Insta photo about a project that I photographed back in Jan for National Peanut Butter Day (which was Jan 24th).

I never hit publish on it for the web log considering I wasn't super happy with how information technology turned out. BUT there were so many comments on IG, from people saying they wanted to make their ain, I figured I'd post the rest of the photos here. Just in case you are every bit crazy nigh donut sandwiches as I seem to be.

So…Information technology'southward peanut butter, jelly time. Brand these peanut butter and jelly donut sandwiches with whatsoever kind of donut and your favorite atomic number 82 and j combo. They're right up at that place with donut ice cream sandwiches in the decadent desserts department. Just a lot less messy.

But cut a donut in one-half (donut croissant, glazed, maple, sprinkles, etc) similar a hamburger bun. Add peanut butter to the bottom 'bun' and your favorite jelly to the meridian 'bun'. Smoosh them together and dig in. It's kind of similar a filled jelly donut, only with the added bonus of peanut butter.

I may exist completely insane for making these. The verdict is still out. But information technology's condign more and more than clear that I don't shy away from decadent dessert ideas. So, at least it's becoming part of the norm effectually here.

Curious to know what you call back of these. What kind of donut practise you recollect would work best for this type of sandwich?
